![]() Meet the ChefExecutive Chef Vijay Selvaraj began fulfilling his love of cooking through the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in Bangalore, India, where he received his diploma in 1987. When he moved to the United States he attended the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, CA, where he received his Chef Certification.Chef Vijay has nearly 20 years culinary experience in a wide range of business areas. He worked for eight years in the cruise line industry with companies such as Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Lines. In 1996, he served as an Olympic Team Chef through the highly regarded Westin Peachtree Hotel. Immediately prior to joining Kingwood Golf Club & Resort, Vijay was the Executive Chef at Eagle's Landing Country Club for eight years. While at Eagle's Landing, Vijay traveled and shared his expertise by training other chefs, teaching cooking techniques, and providing instruction for menu engineering and kitchen setup. Vijay has also supervised kitchen and hospitality operations for the LPGA Tour's "Chick-fil-A Charity Championship" at Eagle's Landing. Today, Vijay is very excited to be with the Killearn Inc. family, and he loves sharing his expertise and passion for cooking with Kingwood members, guests, and staff. |
